Royal Reesink gives major boost to automated warehouse solutions

Royal Reesink is through the acquisition of AM Gruppe expanding its activities in the field of warehouse automation and warehouse fittings into Germany and other countries in which the group is already active. AM Gruppe and Royal Reesink will collaborate intensively in order to pool their expertise in the field of automated warehouse solutions.

AM Gruppe, which comprises AM Automation GmbH and AM Lagertechnik GmbH, provides automated warehouse solutions and transport systems. The company is located in Offenau, Germany and currently has 60 employees. Gerrit van der Scheer, CEO of Royal Reesink: ‘There is an increasing need for automatic systems to store goods due to the continuous growth of webshops, the acceleration in logistics and the trend of same-day-delivery. We already provide a total automated warehouse system solution through Reesink Logistic Solutions. Through this addition to our range, we can tap into AM Gruppe’s 30 years of experience and together be able to provide our clients with even better service.’

Reaping the rewards of the collaboration
Former owners Bernd and Angelika Mader, who will both stay on with AM Gruppe, were looking for a good solution to safeguard their company’s continuity. Both parties are convinced that AM Gruppe and Reesink Logistic Solutions will strengthen each other’s offering. Bernd Mader: ‘This step provides AM Gruppe with a sound basis for further expanding the services and ensuring a successful future for our clients, employees and suppliers.’

Royal Reesink is one of the largest distributors of material handling equipment, machines and equipment for agriculture, landscape maintenance and the civil engineering industry. There is high demand for cleaner, smarter and more efficient machines and innovative processes. Royal Reesink combines specialised knowledge from around the world and can consequently offer innovative and sustainable solutions that are good for people and planet. Gerrit van der Scheer: ‘This acquisition fits in perfectly with this. We are in the enviable position of having to work very hard to meet market demand for warehouse solutions. That’s why it is great that we are joining forces. Together we form one of the world’s largest AutoStore dealers and optimally reaping the rewards of our collaboration will be key.’
