Agreement in principle to acquire Staja Machinebouw and Staja Constructie
Royal Reesink N.V. (“Royal Reesink”) has reached agreement in principle with the shareholders of Staja Beheer B.V. to acquire all shares in the capital of Staja Beheer B.V. and the affiliated companies Staja Machinebouw B.V. and Staja Constructie B.V. (Hengelo, Gelderland) (“Staja”). Staja Wapening B.V. and Eureka-Staja B.V. are not part of the transaction and will continue as independent companies.
Staja and Royal Reesink have maintained a range of business ties for many years. Staja manufactures KAWECO transport carriers and machines for manure processing for Royal Reesink. But Staja is also familiar with other activities of Royal Reesink such as Reesink Staal and Motrac Hydraulics.
This acquisition offers Royal Reesink possibilities to address the growing need for a well-equipped organisation and location for production and/or assembly activities. That need was intensified by the recent acquisition of Lalesse Europe, a specialist in warehouse cranes and automated warehouse solutions. The acquisition of Staja will immediately aid the realisation of the significant growth at Lalesse Europe. Moreover, this acquisition fits in with the intention to establish a knowledge centre that can deploy its development potential on a broad basis to support Royal Reesink.
The transaction is expected to be completed in the summer of 2017.

In Reesink Industries, our businesses are involved as a distributor of steel and processed steel, personal protection items and hydraulic components and systems. In this segment, we supply mainly steel manufacturers, building sites, installation production companies, technical wholesalers, the offshore and shipping industry, machinery manufacturers and the agricultural industry.

Profile of Staja
Staja was incorporated in 1976, is located in Hengelo (Gld) in the Netherlands, and has around 60 employees. Staja Machinery Parts focuses mainly on building agricultural machines (KAWECO and TopLiftStaja). Staja Construction produces a wide range of steel products, mainly for other departments within Staja but also directly for machinery manufacturers and other customers.
